Ever lack productivity when you need it most?
It happens to the best of us.
What you don’t want is your to-do list looking like this:
- Hit the gym by 9AM!
- Homework due tomorrow.
- Powerpoint presentation due this weekend.
- Buy groceries.
- Cook dinner for the family.
- Ship out customers package.
Finish “3 Simple Ways to Maximize Your Productivity” blog post.
To-do lists are great but I’m not the biggest believer in them.
I simply prioritize my work based on how important it is to me.
If it’s important that I do it and I want to do it: I’ll do it.
If it’s not important that I do it and I dont wan’t to do it: I won’t do it.
You just don’t want tasks piling up on you.
Tasks pile up until shit hits the fan.
Don’t let shit hit the fan.
Instead, maximize your productivity with the 3 steps below.
Unlike other ‘productivity hacks’, the advice below is guaranteed to work.
1.) Set a Short Time-Frame to Complete Tasks.
If you want to get a big project done, set a close deadline to finish it.
Ever have an essay due in an hour and you haven’t written a word?
I bet you wrote like hell and got that essay done in an hour.
Same thing goes for any other big projects you take on.
Give yourself a limited amount of time to complete the task.
You’ll work faster knowing that you need to get it done sooner than later.
2.) Do One Thing at a Time!
Multitasking is good for one thing and one thing only:
Getting nothing done.
Now, you probably will get something done.
Though, the quality of your work will be subpar at best.
If you want to pump out a bunch of mediocre work; then multitask.
But don’t expect your work to be noticed.
Mediocrity is average. Nobody pays for or notices average work.
So… don’t multitask.
Instead, do one thing at a time and do it until it is 100% done!
This ensures you do the best work as well.
When you focus solely on the task at hand, you produce quality; not quantity.
Quality is what people look for.
3.) Boost Your Brainpower!
So you want to boost your productivity but your brain feels bogged down?
