So, you want to prosper?
You probably want it all:
- Health
- Wealth
- Love
- Happiness
It’s all very possible in due time.
Which leads us right into the first golden rule.
1.) It Takes As Long As It Takes
Life is long so what’s the rush?
Enjoy the journey as you embark on your goals.
It’s great to work hard and get things done but sometimes you need to stop to smell the flowers.
A part of hard work is being patient.
We have it in our heads that we can become overnight successes.
It doesn’t work like that.
The reason people believe in overnight success is because of social media.
Nobody sees:
- The thousands of hours of work someone puts in.
- Years of practice and perfecting an art / craft.
- Struggles and hurdles others had to overcome.
Instead, what you see is the finished product.
- “This guy / girl has the body of my dreams and won the bodybuilding competition!”
- “This person built this company and now they’re rich!”
- “That guy just bought a Porsche!”
It’s easy to admire the results and overlook the effort it took to get those results.
My friend, anything you want in life can be yours if you are willing to put the time and effort into it.
2.) Always Be Moving Forward
Make progress!
Figure out what your next steps are.
Don’t stay stuck and doomed for failure.
Do you want to lose weight?
- Start a new diet like the Steak & Eggs Diet.
Trying to become more productive?
Want to become a better person?
- Do something daily that will move you closer to that goal!
Even if it’s something laughably small like taking 5 minutes out of your day.
This is important because it will build something called MOMENTUM.
It’s just like riding a bike.
At first it’s difficult:
- Trying to balance.
- Gaining speed.
- Overcoming fear.
But, once the bike has gained momentum, you can guide it with ease.
You require momentum if you want to do big things.
Keep moving forward or suffer being stuck.
3.) Focus On The Basics
One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that people love to complicate everything in life, the gym and business.
It’s a disease of the mind.
People always seem to believe there’s some sort of ‘cheat code’ they don’t know about:
“There has to be some hack, trick or tip I can use to get ahead!”
This is the reality of it:
The more you know, the more you realize you don’t know shit.
I see it everywhere:
- “What’s the best BCAA supplement to take?”
- “What’s the best diet and workout routine?”
- “Should I take my protein before or after I workout?”
You get the point…
The basics will never let you down and the fads will always fade.
- Eat REAL food; not junk.
- Stay active and exercise.
- Do what works for you.
The basics will not betray you!
Be consistent and you will make progress.
4.) Your Body Is Your Temple
For some this is true, but for many, people treat their bodies like trashcans.
Throwing whatever garbage they come across into it.
It’s no wonder America is the sickest country in the world with over 50% of Americans being overweight.
If you want to live a healthy, happy and successful life, you need to take care of your body.
If you treat your body like a piece of trash, you turn into a piece of trash.
You only get one body in this life.
What you put in your body is what you will get out!
Input: Alcohol
Output: Liver Cirrhosis
Input: McDonalds
Output: Get Fat
You get the idea.
Your body is your temple and you should treat it as such.
5.) Your Mind Is Your Master
I’m sure you’ve heard this before:
“Mind over matter.”
How you decide to look at the world is entirely up to you.
What you believe about yourself and your life will come true.
An important thing to realize is this:
Everything in your life is your fault / responsibility.
Accept it and come to terms with it.
All the good and bad in your life is a result of how you perceive it.
Master your mind and you will master your life.
Until Next Time,
Frun
