When you ask someone “What is success?”, you will get a different answer from each person.
Success does look different to each individual but there are 4 main pillars of success that everyone should strive to achieve.
Good habits lead to favorable outcomes; having the 4 pillars in place will help you get to where you need to be.
Without further ado…
The First Pillar: Diet
It goes without saying, you are what you eat.
If you eat shit, you will become shit.
You can’t expect to eat garbage and function at the highest faculties of your mind and body.
The diet you consume directly correlates with how you will feel and look.
Put quality food in your body and good results will come about.

“Let thy food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”
~ Hippocrates
We have more sickly people now than ever in the history of the world.
We also eat a bunch of fake, processed and low-nutrition foods.
It doesn’t take a genius to see why we are so sick.
Quit eating garbage.
A real diet consists of naturally produced whole foods.
In order to perform your best and live a long, healthy life; you need to eat well.
The Second Pillar: Exercise
Not only are we eating the worst food we ever have; but we also exercise the least we ever have.
There’s nothing worse than being a couch potato. Our bodies are made to MOVE.
Create a weekly plan to exercise. It doesn’t even have to be complicated!
AT A MINIMUM: Walk 10,000 steps per day.
AT A MAXIMUM: 1-2 hour gym sessions, 6 days a week.
Start off between those two points and adjust accordingly.
The Third Pillar: Sleep
Sleep is one of those things that everyone overlooks.
Sleep is extremely undervalued.
We spend 1/3 of our lives asleep and we pay no attention to it.
A solid 7-9 hours of quality sleep every night will keep you functioning at your best.
When it comes to sleep, CONSISTENCY is crucial.
The time you go to bed and the time you wake up should be within a 1 hour window.
For example:
- Every night, aim to fall asleep between 10PM and 11PM.
- Every morning, aim to wake up between 6AM and 7AM.
Falling asleep and waking up at fixed times will entrain your circadian rhythm. After some time (usually 3-7 days), your body will quickly adapt to the new schedule effortlessly.
The Fourth Pillar: Work
It is crucial you find what you love to do and are the best in class at what you do.
Work ultimately comes down to 2 things: Consistency & Effort
Consistency comes first because in order to do something well, you have to do it often.
Effort comes second because you reap what you sow.
If you work a lot with no effort; it will lead you nowhere.
If you work a little with a lot of effort; it will also lead you nowhere.
The key here is that you need both.
You must work often and put in the effort to see your success.
It does not matter:
- If you work for someone
- If you work for yourself.
- If you work late or early in the day.
WHAT you work on, WHEN you work and HOW you work are all 100% up to you.
Do whatever is necessary to produce the best work you are capable of.
Be consistent and put in the effort.
The Four Pillars of Success is a foundation upon which you can build your best life.
All that needs to be focused on is:
- Diet
- Exercise
- Sleep
- Work
After mastering these four pillars, everything else in your life will eventually fall into place.
By neglecting one or more of these pillars, everything else in your life will be on shaky grounds.
What are you going to do?
The choice is yours.
Until Next Time,
Frun
