Today we’re going to discuss about why I drink my pasture raised eggs raw and why it is 100x healthier for you to do so!
When an egg or even meat / fish is cooked, it leeches out the moisture.
A lot of this lost water contains water soluble vitamins and electrolytes like potassium.
So by cooking your eggs, you are actually losing nutrients.
Of course, you will be making the protein more easily digestible but I find raw eggs to make me feel physically and mentally sharper.
On top of the vitamin and electrolyte loss, with cooking you have water loss.
Drinking raw eggs and eating raw meat are the best sources of water for your body.
There is no fluoride from water treatment facilities or contaminants in this water since the animals body has filtered it well.
It’s just loaded with vital electrolytes and water soluble vitamins.
I find when I eat raw foods, I maybe drink an 8-16 ounce glass of water per day or less.
(This is another topic we shall get into someday: How to achieve optimal hydration)
When you cook foods, you just dry them out and make them tough and unpalatable.
Does anyone else drink raw eggs or eat raw meat / fish? If so, how has your experience been?
My experience with raw foods has been nothing short of phenomenal.
